Terms of Use of the Personal Assistant of the National Electronic Health Record (EHR) Web Portal

Welcome to the beta version of the Personal Assistant of the National Electronic Health Record (EHR) Web Portal.

The Personal Assistant of the EHR Web Portal is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) application that responds to your inquiries by using exclusively the data contained within the Portal, with the aim of providing optimal service.

Before you begin using the system, please be informed that:

  1. The Personal Assistant of the Web Portal (hereinafter “Assistant”) retrieves and processes exclusively the information available on the Web Portal, for the purpose of providing answers to relevant questions submitted by the user in written form.
  2. The user must understand that they are not interacting with a natural person but with an Artificial Intelligence application, which is currently in a beta testing phase.
  3. The use of the Assistant is strictly limited to retrieving and presenting information from the Web Portal, in order to facilitate the search for appropriate sources and to enhance the user experience. The Assistant is not intended for diagnosis, prevention, treatment, or the provision of medical advice. For the interpretation of medical data, as well as for medical guidance or opinions, the user must consult exclusively their treating physician.
  4. The Assistant can only provide responses regarding topics defined in its initial message to the user. Certain sections of the Health Record may not be supported in the current version. Responses may be incomplete or not up to date. Additional functionalities will be made available in future releases.
  5. The Assistant does not store conversation history, nor does the system retain or process personal data that can identify the user. Only anonymized log data (technical information) are recorded to ensure proper system operation and security.
  6. The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable legislation. User data are not used for training or improving the Assistant.
  7. These terms may be amended or updated in the future. The user must regularly check for changes.
