Software developers who wish to build software that will interoperate with the National Electronic Health Record must log in to the Interoperability Conformity and Simulation Platform, which (a) provides information on the technical specifications for implementing interoperability and (b) supports account creation to provide technical assistance during the development process. Through this system, it is possible both to verify the functionality of the implemented code and to monitor implementation progress at each stage up to final compliance.
